Swap your New Year's Resolutions for Achievable Long Term Self-Sufficiency Gaols and Plans.

Suburban Self-Sufficiency Workshop Fit for the 21st Century.

(By Sindy Wakeham)

How can you make your home and garden into a self-sufficiency homestead while still living a modern lifestyle?

I have launched my first in-person workshop in Cardiff, South Wales for Wed, 22nd January 2025, 12am till 14:00pm. It will answer that question and many more about living self-sufficiently in your suburban home and garden in the 21st century, in a more appropriate and sustainable way.

I'm happy to share one of my mistakes too.
I forked out a fair bit on flyers, put the bargain discounted price on and then the end of the month arrived so now I have to go and make the discount permanent or the flyers will be void and useless!😂
So the workshop will have to be reduced for this one. Well, you live and learn. Note to self... don't put the price on the flyer!

I am so excited about this and there's only two weeks to go so plenty of preparations to make to make it an interactive and transformative event that will help folk dare to make their self-sufficiency dreams a reality even if they have no acreage but a regular suburban situation.

So the next two weeks are very busy but I'm still going to get out into the garden right now! It may be freezing out there but when the sun actually shines, you grab your chance!

Being the beginning of a brand new year,  many people are getting into their New Year's resolutions for making changes and transformations in their lives. Recent years have seen a drop in the tradition as people understand the value of continuous and regular resolutions swapping superficial ones for better goals. It's usually to do with health, wealth or relationships, and even business.

I am focusing on growing my financial self-reliance and personal resilience in home and garden as well as my life in general. Those have always been my goals, all year round.

I gave up on New Year's resolutions many years ago and opted for consistent lifelong goals to be met and evolved over time for real change and transformation throughout my years.

To  me everyday is a new beginning along with every week and month. There are milestones that need checking in all year round and some only periodically. That's how we measure progress and if we have met our goals, what needs to be tweaked or redirected to keep us on track.

There's also nothing like deadlines to get us physically moving toward those goals. I launched this workshop at the end of November but now only have two weeks left and I'm 'bricking it'!
I'm knuckling down and  making tasks to achieve by then because the event is not about ME.

It's about you; the person attending and coming to be informed, inspired and make real progress toward your own peace of mind, security, and that includes your health, wealth and relationships.

Now, you might not be in or near Cardiff so may not be able to join in the workshop. Never fear, I will be organising many more and online workshops too.
So watch this space.

In the mean time, look back on my previous blogs for much of the information I have already shared to help you on your way and please remember, I am only a click away if you have any questions or suggestions.

As always, I love to hear from you. See you in the comments.
